The Best Letter Carrier

Nicke made her debut as an "official" letter carrier for All Hallows Eve -- quite the hit with some of the "regulars."

Ewe Notes

My photo
Melanie
Round Rock, Texas, United States
Married over 30 years to a great man, we have one son, in the Colorado National Guard, and a wonderful new daughter. My interests include: knitting, gardening, reading, walking, and people in general. Exploring Colorado, the US or England, either vicariously in books or on foot is a huge thrill. This winter I went snowshoeing for the first time. As for other sports, I enjoy the cold weather variety - football and hockey. During the off-season (summer), I've learned to like baseball. It's a good thing since that supports my other habits.

Knitting Hints

(1) Use a travel tube toothbrush holder to tote straight tools or a makeup brush case. (2) Instead of plastic markers, substitute a scrap of waste yarn tied in a loop. (3) Contain your ball of yarn by putting it in a plastic container with a lid - cut a hole in the lid and edge the cut with tape. (4) Make an extra copy of your pattern. Leave your original at home and carry the copy in your knitting bag. If you misplace the copy, you'll still have the original. (5) Post-it notes mark your place on a chart. Also, the "stickum" works better when the pattern copy is placed into a plastic sheet protector.
